The Pacific Screenwriting Program supports a vibrant screenwriter community in British Columbia by providing a training ground for BC’s aspiring and active screenwriters. Combining real-world story-room experience, mentorship, bootcamps, workshops and information sessions, the program equips writers with the skills, experience, and connections necessary to establish a sustainable career in the province’s dynamic screen industry.

SSL Alumna Toby Marks picked for GEMS Genre Film Lab

Disco’s Not Dead, written by Toby Marks, will be supported as one of five feature film projects in the 2024 Genre Film Lab. The film’s producer just happens to be Kay Shioma Metchie, another SSL alumna, along with BC Director Panta Mosleh.
