The Pacific Screenwriting Program is building a vibrant screenwriter community in British Columbia by providing a training ground for BC’s aspiring and active screenwriters. Combining real-world story-room experience, mentorship, bootcamps, workshops and information sessions, the program equips writers with the skills, experience, and connections necessary to establish a sustainable career in the province’s dynamic screen industry.

Transplant Q&A w/ Joseph Kay and Rachel Langer!
Showrunner and creator, Joseph Kay and Co-Executive Producer, Rachel Langer will sit down with our moderator, Sonja Bennett, to relive the adventures of bringing the highly anticipated show to life from pitch-doc to screen.
Joseph Kay is a writer/producer of series television, most recently as Showrunner and creator for Transplant (CTV 2020). Other credits include This Life (CBC 2015), Ransom (Global 2017), The Republic of Doyle (Global 2014) and Bomb Girls (Global 2013).
Rachel Langer is a writer/producer for dramatic television including, Transplant (CTV 2020), The Order (Netflix 2019), Bletchley Circle: San Francisco (BritBox 2018), and Ghost Wars (Netflix 2017).
Sonja Bennett is an actress, writer and producer who’s writing credits include Family Law (Corus 2020), LetterKenny (hulu 2018), Ghost Wars (Netflix 2017), and Kim’s Convenience (CBC 2016).
